刘茂福
博士，武汉科技大学计算机科学与技术学院教授、硕士生导师。国家自然科学基金评审专家，中国计算机学会（CCF）高级会员，CCF YOCSEF武汉分论坛学术委员，中国中文信息学会会员，ACM会员，多个国际期刊和会议的审稿人。2005年、2002年与1998年分别从武汉大学计算机学院获得博士学位、硕士学位与学士学位。主要研究方向包括计算语言学与自然语言处理、事件语义学、社会媒体计算、图像分析与理解、数据挖掘、信息检索等。2012年2月至2013年2月新加坡国立大学访问学者，2006年与2008年两次前去香港理工大学合作学术研究。[1]
主持国家自然科学基金1项、国家社会科学基金重大项目子课题1项，合作主持国家自然科学基金1项；主持湖北省自然科学基金、湖北省教育厅基金项目多项，参与多项国家自然科学基金与省部级项目。出版学术专著1部，已发表学术论文50余篇，其中SCI、EI收录20余篇[2] 。
